Rebecca Snowden

/ Director / Principal Physiotherapist

Rebecca began her career in private practice in Townsville where she consolidated her skills in musculoskeletal physio. She then took up positions in Queensland Health where she developed the foundations of her children’s physio experience.

Upon moving to Sydney, Rebecca headed the outpatients department at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, which further increased her interest in paediatric musculoskeletal physio. She also gained experience in neuromuscular diseases, neonatology and the Ponseti Method of management for congenital talipes equinovarus (club foot).

A move to Tasmania saw Rebecca take on a Head of Physiotherapy Department role at St Giles Therapy Services in Launceston, where she headed a team of five paediatric physios to provide services to the north of Tasmania. This role helped her share her knowledge in teaching and mentoring physios who were developing their skills in children’s physio.

In 2009/10 Rebecca took part in the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s titling program where she took the first step towards becoming a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist and was awarded the title of Paediatric Physiotherapist. She’s looking forward to continuing on this pathway and completing the process towards specialisation.

From 2013-2016 Rebecca joined a team of local medical specialists and travelled to Tonga to provide voluntary physio management for babies and children born with club foot. This amazing experience drew on the skills and experience she gained while working in the Ponseti Club Foot Clinic at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She’s looking forward to being involved in this amazing program again.
