Neck Related Headaches

Do you have a throb in your head that comes on after a long day sitting behind the desk? Or do you feel your head is in a vice grip after an intense workout? Or having a tired neck and an extra-heavy head when you still have to pick the kids up or do your homework?

There are many causes that can contribute to a headache and an unhappy neck is a common one. When the neck does not move well due to joint stiffness and/or muscle tightness in your neck and shoulders, these can build into a headache over time. Everyone experiences headaches slightly differently and you can have it in the forehead, the temples, the top of your head, the back of your head, or a combination of these.

Ensuring that you have a good posture - sit upright, shoulders back and chin tucked - at all times is a crucial element. Our Physiotherapists are trained to assess your posture and the factors contributing to your headaches. We use joint mobilisation, soft tissue work, dry needling and exercise to give you both immediate relief as well as long-term preventative strategies.

If you suffer from headaches and would like to see what we can do to help you, give us a call on 4861 1223 or book online at thephysiospace.com.au
